Troubleshooting on Android TV

Below are some steps for troubleshooting your Android TV device.

Depending on the device model, some menu options may be different, and these steps may not work the same on all devices.

Restarting your Android TV device

  1. Go to Settings - on your Android TV home screen, scroll over to, and click on Settings
  2. Click on Device Preferences
  3. Click About
  4. Click Restart
  5. Confirm the restart by hovering over, and clicking Restart

Reset your Android TV Device

  1. Go to Settings - on your Android TV home screen, scroll over to, and click on Settings
  2. Click on Device Preferences
  3. Scroll to, and click on Reset
  4. Confirm the reset by hovering over, and clicking Reset
  5. Wait for the process to complete

Please note: Resetting your Android TV device will erase all data from your devices internal storage, including your Google account, system and app data and settings, and downloaded apps.
