Troubleshooting on Android TV
Below are some steps you can try to troubleshoot your Android TV device.
Depending on your device model and Android TV or Google TV version, some menu options may look different. If you do not see the exact option listed below, select the closest match, or refer to your device manual or the manufacturer’s support site.
Restarting your Android TV device
- From your Android TV home screen, select Settings
- Select Device Preferences
- Select About
- Select Restart
- Confirm by selecting Restart again
Reset your Android TV Device
Only do this if the restart steps above do not resolve the issue.
A reset will erase data stored on your device, including your Google account, app data, settings, and downloaded apps.
- From your Android TV home screen, select Settings
- Select Device Preferences
- Select Reset
- Confirm by selecting Reset again.
- Wait for the process to complete, then set up your device again.
