Troubleshooting on Samsung TV
If you are running into issues accessing the Victory+ app or its content on your Samsung Smart TV, try the steps below.
Note: Exact steps and menu labels can vary depending on your Samsung TV model and software version. If something looks different on your screen, use the closest matching option, or refer to your TV manual or Samsung device support.
Reboot Samsung TV
Rebooting is safe and will not remove your installed apps. It can also clear cached data and help with connectivity issues.
Option 1: Reboot using the remote
- Make sure your TV is on.
- Point the remote at the TV.
- Press and hold the Power button until the TV turns off and back on and the Samsung logo appears.
Option 2:
- Turn your TV off.
- Unplug the TV from the power outlet.
- Wait about 30 seconds.
- Plug the TV back into the power outlet.
- Turn the TV back on.
Remove and Reinstall the Victory+ App
This can clear cached data. You will need to pair your Victory+ account to your TV again after reinstalling.
To remove the app
Samsung menus can vary, but this is a common method:
- Press the Home button on your remote.
- Highlight the Victory+ app.
- Press the Down button to open the app options.
- Select Edit List or Remove (wording can vary).
- Select Remove and confirm.
To reinstall the app
- Go to Apps
- Search for Victory+
- Select the app, then choose Install or Add
- Open Victory+ and complete pairing.
Factory Reset Samsung TV
Only do a factory reset if the options above do not resolve the issue.
A factory reset will return your TV to its original settings. You will need to re download apps, sign back into accounts, and re configure settings.
- Press the Home button on your remote.
- Go to Settings, then select All Settings (if shown).
- Select General & Privacy (sometimes shown as "General").
- Select Reset
- Enter your TV PIN, then select Reset
Important notes about the PIN
- The default PIN is "0000"
- If you changed your PIN, you will need to use your custom PIN to proceed
- Some Samsung models let you manage this under Settings > All Settings > General & Privacy > System Manager > Change PIN
After the reset, follow the on screen setup prompts to set your TV up again.
