Update Automatically (Latest Models)

If the TV is connected to the internet, you can have software updates installed automatically while you're watching TV. Once the update is complete, it will be applied the next time the TV is turned on. Also, when you agree to Smart Hub Terms and Conditions in the initial setup, Auto Update is set to On automatically.

1. Turn on your Samsung TV and make sure it’s connected to Wi-Fi, or hardwired ethernet connection
2. Press the home button on the remote control
3. Select APPS
4. Move the cursor to the settings (gear/cog) icon, then press enter
5. Keep the cursor on Auto update, then press enter to enable or disable the function

Updating Apps (Older Models)

1. Press the Smart Hub button
2. Select Featured

3. Navigate to an App that needs updating, then press and hold the enter button until a sub menu appears
4. Select Update apps
5. Click Select All
6. Select Update

Any apps with an available update will begin updating. This is indicated by a progress bar on the apps screen.

3. Select Software Update, and then select Auto Update to turn it on
4. Select Auto Update again to turn it off if needed

Update Over the Internet

To get the most out of your TV, you should download software updates as soon as they become available.

1. Turn on your Samsung TV and make sure it’s connected to Wi-Fi
2. Using your TV’s remote, navigate to Settings, and then select Support
3. Select Software Update, and then select Update Now
4. New updates will be downloaded and installed on your TV. Updates usually take a few minutes; please do not turn off the TV until the update is complete
5. When the update is finished, the TV will restart automatically. If there aren't any new updates, select OK to exit
