How to Update your Apple TV

Update Apple TV

It's always a good idea to make sure your Apple TV device's OS is running the current version.

1. Go to your Apple TV Settings
2. Select System
3. Select Software Updates
4. Turn on Automatic Updates – Click on Automatically Update to set the status to On
5. Select Update Software - Click on Update Software
6. If there is an update, a message appears
   1. Select Download - During the update process, do not disconnect your Apple TV. The status light may flash slowly during this process

Turn on Automatic App Updates

1. Go to your Apple TV Settings
2. Select Apps
3. Turn on Automatic Updates – Click on Automatically Update Apps to set the status to "On"
