How to Update Google TV
Update Google TV
- Turn on your Google TV – Make sure it’s plugged in and connected to your TV
- Go to the Home screen – Press the Home button on your remote (it looks like a house)
- Go to Settings – In the top-right corner of the screen, you’ll see a gear icon. Click on that to open Settings
- Scroll to System – In the Settings menu, scroll down and select System
- Select About – Under System, find and click on About
- Check for Software Update – In the About section, look for System Update or Check for Update, and click on it
- Update Google TV – If there’s an update, it will download and install automatically. Your Google TV may restart after the update
How to update an app on Google TV
- Turn on your Google TV – Make sure it’s connected to your TV and powered on
- Go to the Home screen – Press the Home button on your remote (the one that looks like a house)
- Go to Apps – Scroll over to the Apps section at the top of the screen
- Open the Google Play Store – Look for the Google Play Store icon (it’s a triangle with colors) and click on it
- Go to My Apps – In the Play Store, scroll to My Apps or Manage Apps & Games
- Check for Updates – You’ll see a list of all your installed apps. If an update is available, you’ll see an Update button next to the app
- Update the App – Click Update next to the app you want to update, and it will download and install the latest version
