How to Update Google TV
This article covers two different updates on Google TV devices:
- Updating your Google TV system software
- Updating an app on Google TV
Update your Google TV system software
- Turn on your Google TV and confirm it is connected to the internet.
- Press the Home button on your remote (house icon).
- Select Settings (gear icon, usually in the top right).
- Select System
- Select About
- Select System update or Check for update
- If an update is available, allow it to download and install. Your device may restart during the update.
Update an app on Google TV
- Press the Home button on your remote.
- Go to the Apps section.
- Open the Google Play Store.
- Select My apps or Manage apps & games
- If updates are available, select Update next to the app you want to update, or select Update all if shown.
- Wait for the update to finish.
