What is IMAX Enhanced on Victory+?
IMAX Enhanced streams use advanced video encoding (H.265) to deliver smooth, efficient playback on supported UHD devices. While these streams are in 1080p HD (not 4K), the upgraded technology helps reduce bandwidth strain and maintain stable performance during live games.
Capable devices will also receive High Dynamic Range (HDR) color, on HDR10 supported devices. If your device does not support HDR10, Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) color will be presented on your device.
Which devices support IMAX Enhanced?
IMAX Enhanced live broadcasts are available only on UHD-capable Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, and Vidaa TVs.
Why don’t I see the IMAX Enhanced option on my device?
If your device is not on the supported list, the IMAX Enhanced option will not appear. You can still watch the regular broadcast feed.
Are all Rangers games IMAX Enhanced?
No. IMAX Enhanced is only available on select Texas Rangers broadcasts, specifically August 25th, 26th, and 27th, 2025.
Will IMAX Enhanced look different from the regular broadcast?
Yes, and No. While IMAX Enhanced broadcasts are shown in standard 1080p HD with the standard 16:9 view. The difference is in the way the stream is delivered, which helps keep playback smooth and reliable. As well, capable devices, will receive enhanced HDR color, on HDR10 supported devices
Do I need to pay extra for IMAX Enhanced?
No. IMAX Enhanced broadcasts are included with your Victory+ subscription at no additional cost.
What happens if my internet speed isn’t strong enough?
Our streams use adaptive technology, which means the video will automatically lower in quality if your internet speed drops. This helps keep the game playing smoothly. For the best experience, we recommend a stable internet speed of at least 8 Mbps.
Is the Entire Stream, Including the Ads, Enhanced?
For this series we have chosen to focus on the game play viewing experience and enhanced only that. The Ad viewing experience is not enhanced and will be similar to our normal stream version.
